Will It All Finally Make Sense?

Image
Will It All Finally Make Sense? “May I never be a hardworking girl with nothing to show for it.” Life is stressful, yes. But the life of a hardworking woman? It is brutal. Draining. Suffocating. The kind of exhaustion that enters your bones and sits in your soul. Sometimes it feels like even the air you breathe comes at a price. I once heard the story of a woman who became an orphan at just five years old. Five. At an age where a child is supposed to know warmth, safety, and love, life handed her pain instead. She grew up as a house help, moving from suffering to suffering. Even though she stayed with relatives, life was still cruel to her. She said there were nights she would lie down and ask God: “What did a five-year-old child do to deserve this kind of life?” And honestly… sometimes life becomes so unbearably heavy that you find yourself questioning God, even when you love Him. Not because you doubt His existence. Not because you hate Him. But because your heart cannot unders...

This must end!!!

I’ve realized that many women I’ve met have experienced SA. The scariest part is that it often comes from people no one would ever suspect, which makes it even harder to speak up or be believed. This is one thing I truly wish didn’t exist, especially when it involves a minor. Back in SS1, I was about thirteen or fourteen...ish. Someone older started crossing boundaries with me in ways that didn’t feel right.  At first it was a harmless "I like you I want you to be my girlfriend" I was shocked and confused… and for a moment I tried to excuse it, telling myself maybe he just liked me. But deep down, I knew something wasn’t right. I politely turned him down, thinking he would get the message and leave me alone. I was so wrong. I would sit for hours listening to him talk about how he would make my life better, how he would take care of me… all the promises. But even at that age, I understood something important, if someone truly cares about you, they protect you, not pressure you...

The Ultimate Healing and growth process                                           When Growth Makes You Outgrow Someone You Care About                                             There’s this quiet shift that happens when you finally start evolving into the version of yourself you once prayed for. You begin to notice things you never paid attention to before, your peace means more than attention, your standards start rising, and love suddenly looks different. That’s where I found myself. No boyfriend, no relationship drama, just me and my best male friend. He’s a good person. He cares deeply about me, and honestly, I care about him too. But there’s this truth I can’t ignore: we’re not aligned. I’m years ahead of him, in life, in mindset, in education, in growth. A...

Girls Talk: When Friendship Turns Toxic — Understanding Jealousy and Boundaries

Image
Girls can be friends too  Many girls say that female friendships often end in betrayal. Sometimes, it’s not because one person planned to hurt the other, but because jealousy quietly sneaks in. Picture this: one friend seems to have it all, a loving family, a healthy relationship, academic success, maybe even natural charm and confidence. The other friend might be struggling to find balance in her own life. Slowly, comparison sets in. Then comes envy. Jealousy in friendship doesn’t always start loud; it begins as small, hidden thoughts. “Why not me?” “She doesn’t even deserve it.” These thoughts, when buried, grow into bitterness, the kind that can destroy trust. But when you learn to speak out honestly about your feelings, to admit, “Hey, sometimes I feel left behind” — you release the pressure before it turns poisonous. Real friends talk, not compete. Now let’s talk about boundaries. Some girls believe friendship should be like the movies, daily check-ins, constant calls, long em...

Six Days to His Wedding… and I Was the Last to Know

Image
My friend Adanna called me in the middle of the night crying and I was shocked at what she told me ...............  I got a late-night call from my friend Ada, her voice shaking. She said, “Peace, you won’t believe what just happened to me tonight.” Ada had been dating Chuka for almost two years. Everyone thought they were perfect. Sunday church selfies, matching Ankara, the whole thing. But last night, while she was scrolling through his phone to order a ride, a message popped up. It wasn’t just a flirty text. It was a wedding invitation. His wedding. To someone else. Ada said her knees went weak. She could hear him in the shower, humming like nothing was wrong. I couldn’t breathe as she told me what she did next. Ada told me she stood there for a full minute, phone still in her hand, reading the invitation over and over. The wedding was set for the following Saturday, just six days away. The bride’s name was  Gladys. Her heart raced so fast she thought she might faint...

The Soft Power Of Surrender

Image
Let God take care of you ❤️ Cast your burden upon the lord,he would lift it off your shoulders and free your heart, mind and soul                            God's Talk Wednesday 💁 🌟 The Soft Power of Surrender There are days when you wake up and feel like you’ve carried the world on your shoulders for too long. The deadlines, the prayers you’re still waiting on, the weight of being strong for everyone else. As women, we are often told to “hold it together” no matter what, but the truth is… God never asked us to carry everything alone. There’s a quiet strength in surrender. Not the kind that gives up, but the kind that whispers, “God, I trust You more than I trust myself.” Surrender is not weakness. It’s leaning into divine strength. It’s choosing peace over anxiety, flow over force. It’s the moment you unclench your fists, breathe, and let God remi...
