Will It All Finally Make Sense?

Will It All Finally Make Sense?

“May I never be a hardworking girl with nothing to show for it.”

Life is stressful, yes. But the life of a hardworking woman? It is brutal. Draining. Suffocating. The kind of exhaustion that enters your bones and sits in your soul. Sometimes it feels like even the air you breathe comes at a price.

I once heard the story of a woman who became an orphan at just five years old.

Five.

At an age where a child is supposed to know warmth, safety, and love, life handed her pain instead. She grew up as a house help, moving from suffering to suffering. Even though she stayed with relatives, life was still cruel to her. She said there were nights she would lie down and ask God:

“What did a five-year-old child do to deserve this kind of life?”

And honestly… sometimes life becomes so unbearably heavy that you find yourself questioning God, even when you love Him.

Not because you doubt His existence.

Not because you hate Him.

But because your heart cannot understand why the pain never seems to end.

She said anytime life started looking better, anytime she noticed even the smallest breakthrough, it would feel like she was finally climbing out of the deep pit she had lived in for years…

Only for life to push her back down harder.

Again.

And again.

And again.

At some point, she became too tired to even cry. Imagine pain drying up your tears completely. Imagine suffering so long that silence becomes your only language.

But somehow… she still believed in God.

She still prayed.

Still hoped.

Still trusted Him with her entire life.

At 24, life finally became peaceful for a little while because she was about to get married. For once, she felt chosen. Seen. Loved. She thought maybe this was finally her happy ending.

Then suddenly, everything collapsed.

The wedding was cancelled.

People mocked her. Relatives blamed her. Some spoke about her like she was cursed. She said that period almost broke her completely.

But she still held onto God.

Not because life was easy.

Not because she understood everything.

But because she believed that the God who brought her this far would never abandon her halfway.

A year later, she met another man.

Not just a man who loved her, but a man who saw her struggles, saw her strength, and helped establish the skill she already had. Today, she is happily married with three children in the United Kingdom. She owns successful salons in Nigeria and the UK and runs a thriving hair brand.

Sometimes she sits quietly and asks herself:

“How did I even get here?”

How does a little orphaned house help become a woman sitting at tables she once only dreamed about?

Only God can write stories like that.

In , Jeremiah 29:11 says:

“For I know the plans I have for you… plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

So if life currently feels unfair… if you are exhausted from trying… if you feel forgotten… if your prayers seem unanswered…

Please don’t give up.

Some storms are not there to destroy you. Some storms are carrying you somewhere your current self cannot even imagine.

Do not let the devil convince you that your suffering is the end of your story.

Keep hoping.

Keep praying.

Keep trusting God.

One day, it will all finally make sense. 🤍
